When  you think about Greek and Roman architecture and sculpture, do images of pure white marble, glistening under blue skies, come to mind.  Think again.  With the help of reconstruction illustrations in Bunte Gotter: die farbigkeit antiker skultpur NB 93 B86 2004, you can see some of the most famous ancient sculpture and architecture as it might have been – boldly colored to attract the eye and, in the case of sculpture, to render it more “life like.”  A selection of 41 of these images is now up on DASe at
