From 2007 until its completion in 2013. the artist Clifford Ross and a team of designers worked on creating a wall of glass to hang in the entrance to the new U.S. Federal Courthouse in Austin, Texas.  Photographs of the Central Texas hill country and planes of color images inspired by Nature were digitally altered and transferred to glass, then enhanced with hand-painting, etching and multiple firings.  Check out this beautiful work of art in Clifford Ross, Through the Looking Glass, 2012, NK 5198 R67 A7 2013.  Nineteen images from the book are also up on DASe https://dase.laits.utexas.edu/search?c=vrc&q=scr:%222012-13-Vr333%22&start=0&max=15&display=grid&sort=    And best of all,  if you are here in Austin, go see The Austin Wall.
