New Event Calendars Published

TIS, Library Systems, Instruction, UT Office of Public Affairs & Library Administration, worked together to create a new unified calendars for Library events. Public events are spotlighted and linked to from the Libraries home page with both Staff and Public events linked from the Libraries’ staff site.  Users can filter by location and category and subscribe to a RSS feed reflecting any filters being applied.

Public Events can be selected for push to the UT Know calendar of events. In order to implement this push TIS worked with the Office of Public Affairs to properly implement their schema and test pushes.  TIS worked with Instruction to build the Calendar layout, filter options and event components. TIS also worked with the Library Administration to integrate event support and to implement an approval work-flow.
