Given the popularity of our PCL Presentation Practice Rooms and the need for Mac laptop users to have an adapter to connect to the MediaScape units and flat screen TVs, we now have 6 Mac VGA adapters available at the PCL Check Out Desk.
MediaScape audio connectors are also available for check out for the MediaScape units in PCL 1.380 and PCL 4.110.
Each of these items is available for 24 hour check out.

We knows it’s always hard to find power for your laptop on campus. Our goal is to provide more connectivity in more places. That’s why we’re adding over 70 new table-top outlets along with lots more wired PCs for student use on the entry level of PCL.
You’ll see these changes roll out over the next few weeks.

Are you feeling the crunch of assignment deadlines? Stop by PCL during Crunch Time for research help and a sweet treat.
UT Libraries staff provide multiple service points for quick questions and research assignment consultations. Come by PCL, 11am-4pm, 11/17-11/19, for research assistance, time-saving tips and handouts, and a mini-Nestle Crunch bar. Take a fun quiz about service options for the chance to win a prize.
PCL is located at the corner of 21st and Speedway.
Can’t make it to the Libraries during Crunch Time? Use our Ask a Librarian service to get help from a librarian via IM or email or visit our For Undergraduates page and our Research by Subject pages for helpful research guides.

Need to return books while the Libraries are closed? Use one of three remote book drops on campus:
1) West of the Perry-Castañeda Library in the one-way alley off 21st Street between the University Christian Church and the University Teaching Center (UTC). As you proceed south, the book return is on the left.
2) A second drive-up book return is located on the north end of campus. The return is located on the south side of Dean Keeton Street between Speedway and San Jacinto streets. It is accessible to pedestrians at street level between Ernest Cockerell Jr. Hall and Robert Lee Moore Hall (RLM) and to vehicles driving through the parking and delivery area behind RLM.
3) A third return is located in the central part of campus near the Main Building (the Tower). It is in the circle drive between the Flawn Academic Center (FAC) and the Main Building. The return is at the bottom of the steps at the west entrance to FAC.
Maps of these locations are available at:

Beginning Tuesday, 09/30/2008, you will no longer be able to use a credit card to purchase or add value to a copy card from our copy card vending machine in the PCL Lobby (or elsewhere on campus). The software used by the vending machines to process credit cards is not compliant with updated privacy standards.
You can still purchase and add value to copy cards using a credit card in Library Copier Services, which is located on the lower level of PCL. Any amount up to $50 can be added to a card at one time.
Don’t forget: you can also use Bevo Bucks to print in PCL.
Let us know if you have any questions or comments about these changes.
